Elegant B&W Texas Golf Club Wedding | Romantic Violin Music by Mikaela Kahn Trio

Taryn + Thomas’ black & white wedding day was giving classic elegance. The cake was designed to mimic Taryn’s wedding dress, guests wore their black tie finery, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many white florals in my life. It was a perfect Saturday in May at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. The sun shined down on their ceremony under a giant oak tree and guests gathered out on the lawn to celebrate.

We played as a trio with piano, guitar, violin, & vocals for their ceremony & cocktail hour and it fit the setting so beautifully. We started the processionals with “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong as Thomas and VIP family members began walking down aisle. Next, for the wedding party we played a soft version of “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. For Taryn’s grand entrance, we began an acoustic guitar-driven version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. While we played and sang, the violinist bowed lush melodic lines that really heightened the emotion of the moment. This aisle was long and dramatic, so we really got to milk the moment as Taryn took her time walking down – and it was honestly perfection. They said their vows, sealed the moment with a kiss, and we played them out to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne (always a favorite!).

After, everyone was invited to cocktail hour at the outside patio bar. We played a mixture of oldies, and some newer pop & country tunes while guests enjoyed the gorgeous Hill Country Views and sang along. Dinner and dancing followed underneath sweeping drapery and the smell of those beautiful white flowers filled the room. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your day, y’all!
