Let me start off by saying I became a Beatles fan in 2020. I know that’s a weird thing to say because like, where have I been? But during the pandemic I had some spare time (okay lots of spare time) to finally sit down and listen to the entire Beatles catalogue. And I can confidently now say…I’m a Paul girly. That all being said, I love The Beatles and I love a good wedding day surprise! And Lauren gave me the opportunity to put those two loves together...

Originally, the plan was for me to play for Lauren & Zach’s wedding during cocktail hour. Lots of fun throwbacks, some Motown, and of course - T Swift. But then Lauren came to me on the sly and asked if I could also play her aisle song. Their DJ was set to play the ceremony music, but she envisioned a twinkly piano version of one of their favorite songs, “Blackbird” by The Beatles as a surprise for her groom. Of course I was so on board with this plan! It was so much fun reimagining such a classic guitar song for piano, and giving it a more ethereal, wedding-like spin. Thank you for trusting me with such a special moment! I’ll never forget it.

Highlights: Creating a custom arrangement of “Blackbird”. Their sweet puppy. Ceremony chandeliers. Lauren’s tiara (more tiara’s please). All the care-free, fun-loving vibes.
