Real Wedding: Kendall + Reid
“I will NEVER regret hiring Mikaela for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour music. First of all, she was my most responsive vendor BY FAR and was so incredibly kind the entire process. Secondly, I received SO many comments from guests on how beautiful the music was. We truly had people just sit in their seats near her during cocktail hour just to listen to the music. Lastly, I will never forget the beauty of her voice walking down the aisle. She made the moment so magical, taking a unique song we requested and even cutting it in a specific way to make it work perfectly. We are so thankful for her and highly recommend her!” - Kendall S (ceremony & cocktail hour)
Kendall + Reid are absolute beams of light and their wedding day was so reflective of their joy and love for each other. It was an honor to be a part of this day, sing them down the aisle, and plan out all the details with Kendall. They chose some really beautiful songs that were important to their love story, building a family and life together, and their faith.
For the prelude, we played reverent religious pieces to set the tone for the ceremony. Some modern worship songs like “Holy Spirit” by Francesca Battistelli, and “Goodness of God” by Bethel, as well as classic hymns like “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.
We began the ceremony with “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes as their family, bridal party, and grandmother flower girl (umm, so cute) walked down the aisle. For Kendall’s bridal entrance we played a sparkly, piano driven version of “You’re Beautiful” by Shane & Shane. She had picked out certain verses from the song and let us arrange a special version just for this moment. After a truly lovely ceremony, they kissed and we played “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates while they took their first steps into their future together.
For the cocktail hour, we switched gears into some chill country vibes, inspired by a Spotify playlist Kendall + Reid love called 'Nashville Stripped'. Lots of Chris Stapleton, Dan + Shay, Russel Dickerson, Maren Morris, and more.
It was such a delight playing for these two and getting to know their incredible family! Honestly, I’m in love with the whole crew - adopt me, please?
