Real Elopement: Corley + George

“Mikaela was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were lucky enough to be able to book her a few months before our wedding and are so glad she was able to be there on our special day. She was super responsive, flexible, professional and OMG her voice... is beautiful. We planned our wedding but ended up eloping due to covid-19 and we are so happy Mikaela was able to make it. We will never forget you, Mikaela! Thank you for making our day so so special.” - Corley C, (elopement ceremony)

Corley reached out to me a few months before their wedding and we had everything planned out. Then - disaster struck when coronavirus hit and they had to make some tough decisions. They decided they still wanted to get married on the same date but they wanted to do it safely. So instead of the big wedding they had planned, they eloped!

Corley and George eloped at Chapel Dulcinea with just their two best friends (and their pups!) in attendance. I played slow, relaxing, love songs to set the tone and help sooth the pre-wedding jitters while they were getting everything ready for the ceremony. When it was time, I played “Marry Me” by Train as Corley joyfully walked herself down the aisle. They had the most lovely, heart warming ceremony and in front of a gorgeous backdrop of Austin’s rolling hills, they read their vows, shared a kiss, and were married!

I immediately went into “Love on Top” by Beyoncé and they rang the chapel wedding bells and popped a bottle of bubbly. I continued playing in the background while the beautiful couple took photos, and danced - just the two of them - in newlywed bliss.

It was a moment and a day I will never forget. Even in the midst of a pandemic, love will always win. I’m so thankful to have been a part of such an important moment in your lives - what a way to start a marriage! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness. ❤️🌳

Highlights: Just a whole lotta love…and puppies!!
