Real Wedding: Carrie + Christian
Featured on Wed Society Austin
Carrie + Christian have the most contagious love. Something about their presence as a couple, their family & friends, and this whole day just radiated warmth and good vibes. They had a Springtime “Wildflowers & Wine” theme and it couldn’t have been more fitting. Vibrant florals in bud vases adorned the beautiful Hotel Saint Cecilia patio, lined with long communal tables.
These two are huge music lovers and I absolutely adored their music selections. They wanted a jazzy, bluesy, soft rock vibe with artists like Etta James, Fleetwood Mac, & Norah Jones. They requested a dreamy vibe for their prelude music and we played classics like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, “La Vie En Rose”, and “How Long Will I Love You” as guests took their seats.
For the processionals, we started with “River” by Leon Bridges, then switched to “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac as the bridesmaids walked down. And ok, it’s not often when someone introduces me to my new favorite song, but Carrie sure did… For her bridal entrance, she requested “Wildflowers & Wine” by Marcus King (to go with the wildflower theme) and it was perfect. I had never heard the song - or Marcus King before - but it quickly became one of my favorite songs ever to sing!
We played soft instrumental music during the ceremony and after their kiss, we played them out to “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” by Randy Newman. Such a fun recessional song and a enchanting evening!
Highlights: Wildflowers, neon, & eclectic music choices.
