If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when two literal rays of sunshine get married…you’re looking at it. Molly & Grant’s sunny yellow wedding was full of next-level happiness, joy, and good vibes. Round Top is famous for its incredible antique shows and quirky Texas charm (IYKYK), but now it’s equally famous in my mind for Molly & Grant’s perfect wedding day.
M & G fully took over the town of Round Top, transitioning between different venues throughout the evening. The ceremony and cocktail hour were set at Jardin de France, where the vibe read French countryside meets small-town Texas—with a generous splash of happy yellow everywhere you looked. Their vision for the prelude was “romantic & happy”, so we so we leaned into acoustic love songs like “Home” by Edward Sharp, “Yellow” by Coldplay (duh), plus a few French favorites to match the antique-filled, rustic setting.
They skipped a bridal party and kept the processionals intimate, with a soft instrumental version of “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes picked on acoustic guitar. Okay, remember when I said these two were rays of sunshine? Well, Molly’s bridal entrance was completely on brand. She walked to an instrumental guitar version of “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles, meeting her parents halfway before they continued together to the chuppah. After vows were said and the glass was broken, they floated back down the aisle as we sang “Love You For a Long Time” by Maggie Rogers — officially married, giggly, and glowing.
Guests cheerfully clinked glasses and enjoyed passed hours d’oeuvres outside. We continued with the French-Texas vibes with a set list of upbeat country & French classics. Molly’s dad closed cocktail hour with the sweetest toast ever — complete with a surprise song that Jordan accompanied him on. Guests bussed over to Lulu’s for dinner to and were stunned to see 7 different dining setups. Everywhere you looked, there was another colorful tables cape. The front patio, bar, main dining rooms, and all the way down into the cellar. This was honestly one of the most creative dinner setups I’ve ever seen. Becky from Pearl Events completely outdid herself with this entire day.
After dinner, guests arrived at Round Top Dance hall to find a custom yellow bandana dance floor, disco cacti, Texas-ready lounge areas, and yellow solo cups (I die). They danced the night away, and Molly even hopped into the DJ booth for a second there. Moral of the story: don’t be afraid to play with color, be yourself, and lead with joy for your wedding weekend! Will never get over this day, y’all!
